Megan Steinke is an independent singer/songwriter, versatile musician, and composer. From playing a newly written acoustic song at an open mic night to composing a classical piano piece, she never fails to express and share her musical creativity. She frequently performs original music and acoustic covers with her unique voice, acompanied by guitar or piano. Most recently, she just finished a week-long tour of her latest album, “Close to One,” through Los Angeles and San Diego.

Her music reflects the jazzy influence of Norah Jones, the acoustic style of Regina Spektor, and the light-hearted tunes of Jack Johnson. Her original music is an expression of her everyday life as a person of faith, a friend, and as someone relatable.

From the city of San Jose, Megan brings her music to coffee shops, open mic, local events, and festivals; she also performs in San Luis Obispo, where she is currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Communication. While at school, she promotes her music and performs at venues including Fin's Seafood, Slo Donut Company, Courtyard Marriot Inn, Coastal Peaks Coffee, Kreuzberg, and on campus.
